About
About SnapLongevity
SnapLongevity is a global, English-language publication about how long people live, how many of those years are healthy, and what the scientific evidence says influences longevity.
It covers published life-table figures, healthy life expectancy and evidence summaries — each shown with its source, data year and method, and never turned into a prediction about an individual.

Why it exists
Longevity statistics are published openly by international agencies, but they are rarely presented in a way an ordinary reader can interpret. Numbers get quoted without their age, sex, country, year or method, and population averages are routinely mistaken for personal forecasts. The goal here is to make the same data quick to understand without stripping out the caveats that make it meaningful.
What it covers
- Expected years remaining and survival to later ages, by age, sex and country.
- Life expectancy compared with healthy life expectancy.
- Evidence summaries on major factors studied in longevity research.
- Explanations of the concepts and calculations behind those numbers.
What it does not do
- It does not predict how long an individual will live, or estimate a date of death.
- It does not calculate a biological age or a longevity score.
- It does not diagnose, treat, or give personal medical advice.
- It does not sell supplements, tests, programmes or memberships.
- It does not publish a number it cannot trace to a source.
Population statistics are not individual predictions
Editorial approach
Quantitative results come from published data with the source, data year and method attached. Evidence summaries prefer systematic reviews, meta-analyses and large cohort studies, and say plainly where causation is not established. Where a value is not published, the site shows that it is unavailable rather than estimating one.
