Privacy policy
This policy describes the website as it is actually built today. If the implementation changes, this page changes with it. Last updated: 9 September 2026.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to snaplongevity.com. Where an operator reference is needed, this document refers to “the operator of SnapLongevity”. SnapLongevity is an informational publication and is not an incorporated company.
2. Information you provide
2.1 Explorer and Healthspan selections
Age, sex and country selections are held in the page address so a result can be shared or reloaded, and the calculation runs against data already delivered with the page. These selections are not sent to a separate service by this website and are not stored by us. Because the address is part of the request when a link is opened, a shared link will contain the selections you chose. These selections are deliberately not sent to Google Analytics: page addresses reported to analytics are stripped of their query part, and no age, sex, country or result is sent as an analytics event.
2.2 Email
If you write to the address in Section 10, your message and email address are received in an ordinary mailbox and kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter you raised. There is no contact form on this website.
3. Analytics, cookies and storage
3.1 What is used
This website uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand aggregate use of the site: which pages are read, roughly how many visits there are, and how people move between sections. It is used only to improve the site. It is not used for advertising, remarketing, personalised content, user scoring, or any individual longevity profile. No advertising network, affiliate tracking or marketing pixel is installed, and there are no user accounts, no newsletter, no payments and no personalisation.
3.2 Consent
Analytics is optional and switched off by default. Google Consent Mode v2 is used, and before you make a choice the analytics storage signal is set to denied, as are all advertising signals (advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation). Those advertising signals stay denied at all times, whatever you choose, because this site runs no advertising. On a first visit you can Accept, Reject, or open Preferences to decide.
3.3 If you reject analytics
Analytics cookies and analytics browser storage are not enabled, and no analytics identifier is stored in your browser. The Google tag is still present on the page, so your browser loads it from Google and Google may receive cookieless measurement signals, including your IP address as part of that request, from which no analytics cookie or persistent identifier is created here. We do not claim that nothing at all reaches Google; we do state that no analytics storage requiring your consent is used.
3.4 If you allow analytics
Google Analytics may then set its own first-party cookies in your browser, normally named_ga and _ga_ followed by the measurement identifier, which distinguish one browser from another so visits can be counted. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy information, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
3.5 Remembering your choice
Your privacy choice is remembered in your own browser using local storage, under the key snaplongevity_consent. It records only whether a choice was made, whether analytics is allowed, and the date of the choice. It contains no name, email, age, sex, country or Explorer selection, and it is never sent to a server.
3.6 Changing or withdrawing your choice
Select Privacy choices in the footer of any page to turn analytics on or off at any time. Turning it off updates the consent signal to denied immediately and removes the first-party Google Analytics cookies described above from this browser.
4. Technical information from hosting
Like any website, requests reach a hosting provider that may keep standard technical logs, typically including the requested address, timestamp, IP address and browser identifier. These logs exist for delivery, security and troubleshooting, are controlled by the hosting provider under its own terms, and are not used by us to build profiles of visitors. If a page fails, technical error details may be recorded by the hosting platform to help fix it.
5. Third parties
5.1 Fonts
Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's font servers and Google receives your IP address in the process. No other third-party service is embedded in these pages.
5.2 Data sources
The statistics shown here are downloaded from the World Health Organization in advance and delivered with the page. Your browser does not contact the World Health Organization when you use the Explorer or the Healthspan pages.
5.3 External links
Source citations link to external publishers and agencies. Those organisations have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
6. Children
This website is general-audience reference material and is not directed at children. No accounts exist and no information about a visitor is deliberately collected here, whatever their age.
7. Security and retention
Because no visitor records are created by this website, there is normally nothing held to secure or delete. Email correspondence is kept in the mailbox for as long as the matter requires and no longer. Hosting logs are retained according to the hosting provider's own schedule.
8. Your rights
Where data protection law gives you rights over personal data, you can exercise them for anything we actually hold — in practice, email correspondence — by writing to the address in Section 10. We cannot act on records held solely by the hosting provider.
9. Changes to this policy
If advertising or any other data collection is introduced, this page will be updated before it goes live, and any consent required will be requested at that time.
